ABOUT KIM

I decided to use my skills and expertise in the role as an adult- geriatric nurse practitioner specializing in senior care management and an end-of-life doula. After many years of listening to older adults, they request to remain as independent as possible in the comfort of their own home. Families are overwhelmed by various 'services' and 'options' that are available, but not able to know what is right for their loved one. Families seemed overwhelmed and are not able to be 'present' as a loved one and the role changes to the exhausted caregiver.

I have more than 25 years in the medical field including 17 years as a home health RN providing care to elderly patients in their home to support their medical needs. Realizing that my passion was to provide higher level care, I returned to obtain my Master's in Nursing and Science from Maryville University in 2017. I am board certified through AANP as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.

I am a member of Aging Life Care as a Senior Care Manager. Providing solutions to clients and their families to respect the wishes of the older adult.

I am also a member of International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA), where I received my doula training. I have been honored to be a hospice volunteer for the past years.

I am married to a very supportive husband of 23 years and have two wonderful children (middle and high school aged).
